Overview

A wholly new E-Mail system that's designed from the ground up for the following critical features:

1. Decentralized
2. ALWAYS Encrypted
3. 100% SPAM Proof
4. Monetizable
5. Works with your EXISTING E-Mail clients

The encryption begins on the sender's device and does not and cannot become decrypted until it reaches the receiver's device. It's encrypted by the sender with the receiver's public key. Only the receiver can decrypt it by using their private key.

But what about Quantum Computers? DEMail uses the latest post-Quantum encryption algorithms, designed to be unbreakable by even quantum computers. This makes your DEMail not only safe from cracking by today's computers, but by future quantum computers.

There are no central servers. It's a peer-to-peer network. This make is resilient to attacks and not vulnerable to a single point of failure.

It's spam proof because the peer to peer network, itself, blocks the transmission of any DEMail unless the receiver has pre-authorized the sender OR has published that they are willing to receive unsolicited DEMail. With that, they can require proof of work (PoW), which is enforced at the peer to peer network level. In other words, a spammer COULD send someone WILLING to receive spam, but ONLY if the spammer's email meets the technical requirements of the receiver, which can be a PoW requirement (forcing the spammer to crunch large volumes of numbers, which is both timely and costly) and/or require a crypto payment be provided along with it. The PoW requirement and the payment requirements are enforced at the network level. The spam isn't getting through unless the peer network agrees the spammer met the receiver's requirements.

- It's not a website.
- It's not a centralized E-Mail server
- It's an app running on your PC that pretends to be an E-Mail server. You connect to it with your email client like you would connect to GMail or any other email system, except you're connecting to your own computer.
- It's the glue between the decentralized e-mail system and your existing e-mail clients.

Why I Decided to Make This

1. To guarantee privacy of your e-mail
2. To prevent censorship
3. To block spam

History

I created a prototype of this system about 6 or so years ago and demonstrated it at a blockchain user group I started at the company I worked for. Due to various reasons, I never got around to finishing it. I wasn't entirely happy with the only decentralization solution being an immutable blockchain. Immutability kind of diminishes the privacy goal. After AI coding tools matured, I decided to get back into it and rethought the decentralization solution to, by design, be ephemeral. This is that complete solution.

Future Plans

My current plans for this are to add mobile support, open sourcing it, and releasing a white paper.
